Great Opportunities for Web Series

This is a cool thing we've got going on...  The pros who are a part of FilmDayton team up with aspiring filmmakers to provide an educational experience in filmmaking AND create an original Web series. Web series are taking the world by storm and this genre of original content is growing in popularity. FilmDayton is getting in on the action!

You remember our pitch event, so we've got the story. The team has been working with the writers to strengthen the script. And soon - it's coming to you in search of volunteers for all aspects of productions.

BUT -  - Before production begins, we need two very important jobs filled:

1) DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKER

Wouldn't it be cool to have a documentary showing off the "Making of the Web Series"? A volunteer filmmaker showing the behind the scenes action of a project designed to show the behind the scenes action of production? (Yeah, we are so meta). So - calling all filmmakers, aspiring filmmakers, students and people who want to give it a try! First up - let's get some video of the table read on January 31 at Film Connections. Then, this person will follow along in the process and be there as much as possible to capture the highs and lows of putting something as big as a 6 episode Web series together.  Interested? Email reel or resume to MCooper@FilmDayton.com.

2) MARKETING/COMMUNICATION LEAD

You know this is a project unlike any other. So, it's time to start generating some BUZZ. We need a volunteer with an eye for social media and marketing to help brand this project, reach out into the national film and Web series community, and get people excited about the show. Let's build a ready-made audience before the first episode even hits the screens. Do you have these skills? Do you have a creative vision for video blogging, traditional blogging, Facebooking, Q&As, press releases and more? We need your talents! Contact MCooper@FilmDayton.com

More positions are coming available as we prep for production. Learn more at the the Film Connections on January 31, 7 PM at ThinkTV - $5 nonmembers, free for memebers.
